Thang Pham won the World Series of Poker tournament
Vietnam native, Thang Pham, won the World Series of Poker tournament this past week in Las Vegas. He took home $453 456. The no-limit Texas hold 'em tournament took place at Bally's. There were over 130 players who participated in the event. He beat out J.C. Tran, WSOP champion Joseph Hachem, Scotty Nguyen, Doyle Brunson, Johnny Chan, Bob Stupak and Celine Dion's husband Rene Angelil.
Harrah's Entertainment recently announced that the 2006 World Series of Poker will take place at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino. The $10,000 No-Limit Texas Hold'em World Championship will begin on the 25th of June and end on the 10th of August.
