Man wins $382 000 in Canadian Poker championships

James Hawkins won $382 000 in the British Colombia Poker championships. It is the biggest jackpot ever awarded in Canada for a poker tournament. It was a Texas Hold'em event that took place at the River Rock Casino in Richmond. The poker tournament drew in more than 1000 people from Canada and the United States. The Lottery Corporation believes its success will make it a yearly event.
