Las Vegas will host the Miss America Pageant

For over 80 years, the Miss America pageant has been held in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Next year it will take place at the Aladdin hotel-casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. It will air on the Country Music television channel on the 21st of January 2006. The Miss America pageant was dropped from ABC due to financial difficulties.
