Ameristar Casinos plans to expand Casino in St. Charles

The price tag for the new casino expansion project in St. Charles will cost Ameristar Casinos Inc. $240 million. The Las Vegas-based casino company will construct an all-suite hotel that will include a spa, a swimming pool and a 20 000 square foot conference center.

The St. Charles casino's revenues went down 1.4 percent in the third quarter. Ameristar hopes that this new expansion will increase the casino's revenues. The Ameristar Casinos corporation operates seven casinos in the United States. The new complex will open its door at the end of 2007.
