Which Casino Giant will hit the Jackpot in Singapore?

Singapore will soon issue licenses for their two new casino-resorts. Casino companies such as MGM Mirage, Harrah's Entertainment and Kerzner International and a dozen others are all in the running. Kerzner operates the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas and the Las Vegas Sands. The most skilled casino operator will be given the chance to build and decorate the hotels, museums and the gaming area.

Every casino wants to get its hands on these projects because the casinos are estimated to generate $5 billion in revenue. Whoever gets awarded the licenses will be able to cater to Asia's 2.5 billion individuals.

Singapore just recently lifted a ban on casinos that has lasted over 40 years. One of the major reasons the city-state decided to do this is to make the economy grow by increasing tourism. Many groups have expressed their disapproval though. They believe that it will worsen the social problems that already exist.
