Poker Tournament in Atlantic City

The Tropicana Casino and Resort will host a poker tournament that begins on Wednesday, September 21 in Atlantic City. There will be a total of 26 events that will take place every week. Eight of the events will be televised on CBS Sports. The winners will be playing for a seat at the ProJo Poker National Championships, beginning February 2006 in Las Vegas.

This tournament differs from other ones because no professional poker players are eligible to play in the early stages of the tournament, they must wait until the semi-final round. Winners from the ProJo Poker Tournament Series have a chance to receive over $40 million in cash and prizes and a $25 000 National Championship ring.
