Pittsburgh plans 14 new Casinos

Pennsylvania's state board will soon hand out 14 casino licenses to the city of Pittsburgh. In order to receive a license, each casino developer has to respect the neighborhood the casino will be located in. In other words, the noise has to be kept at an appropriate level, there cannot be too many lights surrounding the building and the traffic must be controlled to avoid congestion. The design of the casino also has to go well with the character of the city. One of the many casinos soon to be built will only have slot machines.

The sophisticated design also has to include a lot of greenery outside the casino. The task force is obliging every casino to use 1 percent of the development budget for the landscaping. The eateries and entertainment centers also need to have entrances from directly onto the streets. Licenses might be issued as early as November.
