Over 1 billion dollars profit for Las Vegas Casinos in March

Over 1 billion dollars from Las Vegas gamblers went into the casino's pockets in March, and Vegas Strip casinos making over half a billion for the first time ever.

The total wagers were a bit lower than the in the previous record breaking month which was again in March (of 2004), when the casinos took in $13.4 billion in total bets, and that means that the casinos are taking a higher profit margin. Or lower payouts.

And as the 100th Anniversary of Las Vegas is this month (May 2005), the record-braking month may not last that long.
