New Jersey prefers Las Vegas!

A new poll from telephone survey of 1,001 adults, found that New Jersey residents preferred Las Vegas casinos to the Atlantic City ones.

57% of the people who were asked said they prefer Nevada for casino gambling, and just 27% go for Atlantic City.

The poll also showed that 1 out of the 10 people asked, would stop going to Atlantic City if Philadelphia or New York were offering casino gambling.

The survey was payed for by the Richard Stockton College was conducted by the company Zogby International. It took place between May 17 and May 25 2005, and the poll had 48 questions about Atlantic City and its casinos.

The poll also showed that Atlantic City still is the No1 entertainment destination for the state, just ahead of the Jersey shore and the Meadowlands sports complex. Also more than 90% of adults have been in Atlantic City at least once.
